Posters for a project to commemorate a historical event. I chose the journey of Mansa Musa from Mali to Mecca and the subsequent bringing of Islam back to his country. The posters represent the arrival of Islam and Mansa Musa's extravagant journey and his construction of great temples upon his return. It was mandatory that the poster included no text save for the date it occurred. Minimalism was heavily stressed to communicate the idea or event. Each week I tried to come up with at least two new posters while refining previous ones. These remaining six were my favorite of the bunch.
